As I approached this tree a heron became startled from his roost and took off. I didn't know it was there, so it startled me as well. In a month or so, this tree will be full of egrets with their breeding plumage, showing off.
I see that it is still rainy there when this was shot. Sometimes the birds will just almost go to sleep on their perch while you are there clicking away, and other times they can be very skittish. You are fortunate to live so near a place as beautiful as this.
