Taken at sunset handheld through glass (I don't think that I am allowed to clone out the reflection just creeping into the RHS). However, it came out alright.
Edit to add many thanks to the voters for the great comments and votes. The image was taken from the members' lounge at the South Bank Centre. Thanks again.

Mate,
What a fantastic - And very original photograph of a well taken subject - Light and composition are spot on - Worth 3 of every postcard sold in London of the wheel. Get that image out there to be sold!
Well done again
Jeff
Hello Matthew and congrats for your first place !
Fabulous colors, great composition. I think the picture need a little space between the Big Ben Tower and the wheel.
Wow...great shot, great angle. I've never seen it taken this way yet. I'm guessing this may have been taken from your office or from the members' lounge at the South Bank Centre? LOL
Well done, Matthew! Congratulations on your ribbon. Well deserved and worth waiting for!
This shot typifies the London skyline to me nowadays - the old and new in harmony! Beautiful!
Oh I so want to see this in person! Maybe in a few months I will. I love this photo, the colours are beautiful and it's an angle I have not seen before.
A vantage point I've never seen! Great juxtaposition of architectures, too. Would have liked a tad more breathing space between the capsules and Big Ben.
Top 5 score for me, great lighting, great subject, incredible architecture. I think this is a shot most people need to look at. You can't just shoot something with normal dull lighting. The clouds, the sunset or sunrise make this shot stand above the rest and add that extra pow to get the score much higher.
