I've edited many times, crop, a lot of usm at different radius, clone some wires, different layers, blur, sharpen, contrast.. wanted to remove the big wires too but it was a lot of burden.
Everything here leads me to the woman . . . the power lines, the lighting, the contrast . . . it all makes me want to see her, to know her, in all her monochrome and glowing glory. Wonderful.
Very nice..I really like the contrasts going on here. The lighting on her face is just amazing. The conversion is very strange to me, but it does work.
WOW! Love this image! Hate the electrical pole and wires behind her though. Consider maybe cloning out that stuff? Regardless, strong image - I like it a lot.
My first impression, where's the focus? Taking a closer look it's very nice on the face, but I think all the lights are too disturbing. Putting my hand in front of all the lights and it's really a great photo.
There's a great sense of mystery and intrigue here, certainly due to the overall dark tones and light on the model's face. If the bright background were brought down a bit it would keep the focus more up front.
Oooh artsy! This is something that would not get enough appreciation in a challenge. I love the editing done on the face. I would want to see the brightly lit house in the background toned down a smidge because it competes with the woman's face for attention.
A great moody image. I kind of like the tower of wires, although a little separation between the model & the wires might be better. Beautiful lighting & moodiess - the light on her face is wonderful.
Excellent moody photo! You might try to duplicate layer, then max-out the contrast for purpose of template to separate between model & wires. Could aid removal. At any rate...Great as is! :)
Great photo nikola. Hitchcock-like. As is very obvious, the light in the barkened subjects face is excellent, and the graininess of the the scene too. If i would nit-pick, maybe a little less usm, but not sure how it would look
I like it!!!! The light on her face, and the street lamp make this hauntingly beautiful. It draws you in and makes you want to know more about what's going on, and the motivation behind the photo. Great job.
For me this has a real 'film noir' feel to it. Like the shallow depth of field in this one.
This had me puzzled for a while but yes, film Noir, could almost be a French Street. Looking at the settings you did a good job capturing what you did :) I did spend 5 mins in CS3 with the image and removing the power lines would not be too difficult but you may have to spend a little time getting it just right though tbh I think they actually add to the overall feel of the image. Looks like the image is about 2 degrees CCW off but easy to correct without losing much of the image ;)
