Wow. Look at that detail. Now I am getting jealous of that sexy lens. Terrific comp, wonderful focus. I really like how the head/beak follows the curve or the rooster's rear. Congrats on the score and placement too.
Amazing clarity, detail, light, and color. I'm really surprised this didn't finish in the top ten. Just bad luck that it was such a high scoring challenge.
Lovely detail; I can almost feel the different textures. Close crop creates a striking composition with just a few strong colours - almost abstract in feel.
8- Nice composition, and of course colors. The grain does work, but especially with that 'skin' around the eye, think I'd like to be able to discern the texture more.. and clarity on the eye..but difficult.
What a regal and royal looking creature! He looks to be a crown prince about to hold court, dressed in his finest finery. Nicely done on the composition, too.
Wow! That one's a keeper. This may be the most graphic bird shot I've ever seen. Everything came together perfectly; and if it doesn't win a ribbon, I'll eat my hat.
Came back to this one to bump it up because I really like the composition. Technically flawless, beautiful control of DOF and graphic sweeps of colour in the background lift this one into the top tier amongst some very strong competition.
