I try to get to lake locations early in the morning before the wind disturbs the placid mirrorlike surface. The orange maple leaves contrast with the blue water and green trees giving zip to the photo. Without the orange the scene is beautiful, but not spectacular. I always use a tripod and cable release or the camera's timer. Copyrighted
