We had a 3 hour break this morning from the rain so I grabbed my camera and headed to the bay, where I hoped to find some birds. No luck on the birds, and I got caught in a rain shower, but it was nice to get outside after 3 days in the house. In the last 24 hour period, we got 4.5 inches of rain which is an awful lot for this area.
A lot of these boats in the bay are lived on full time.
And not only did you get a break from the rain. . .but you were rewarded with a beautiful photo. That's always nice to cheer any rainy-day mood! Course, here in Texas, its the rain that makes us cheer up and smile :)
You mention that you shot this in a break from the rain and the way that you've captured the lighting really shouts out to me that that's when this was shot. That sky looks to be threatening pretty badly.
