 Used crude selection (and inversion of that selection) to create two layers on which to adjust curves and opacity. Cropped and sharpened.
Hoping that I brought out the "antique" mechanics of the piece.

This is great subject matter for this challenge, but for me, it looks like too much post-processing has been performed.

At first I thought this was an interesting picture that looked almost like a picture of a painting because of the lack of depth and it may in fact be that, but I like the break in the flatness by the feeling of movement of the pendulum

allrght, very rigid with the cropping.. but perhaps nice as an abstract.. painterly image. interesting.. the more i look at it the more i like it.
