Took a supermacro picture of my friends old scratched up Swatch. Chose my 4500 over my 717 for this one. Then came hours of post-processing:
Cloned out the scratches. Reworked the needles + gave them more shine. Sharpened the image using many radii on multiple layers. Selected the gold and red stuff + desaturated the rest and blue shifted it for that cold metal effect. Constrast enhancement on individual components, then sections of the picture, then on the whole picture. Downsized, and resharpened one last time.

Wonderfully observed and creative use of colour and (perhaps?) desaturation. My onyl suggestions for improvement would be a more direct angle on the shot. The fact that the watch is partly tilted away from the camera will be one reason why the gold coloured mechanisms at the top are out of focus. This makes a 9 out of a potential 10
