Taken near the Mere in Hornsea, East Yorkshire. I know I could have increased the shutter speed, which I did on a couple of other shots, but I wanted to capture the movement of the wings to show the 'frenzied' way in which the birds were feeding, landing and taking off.The light was poor that day also and made the shot a little grainy, so that's also why I choose to enhance the grey tones.

Like this too, certianly the idea, I'm not too fond of the branches in the background, and would prefer to not see so many birds cut off (but I'm sure they wouldn't cooperate for a second shot :-)
I like this even though it seems a bit dark. I would think all the branches in the background would distract me, but they don't particularly. I think because there is so much "motion" in the image - my eyes want to follow all the birds movements. The very soft focus works for me in this.
I like the chaos of your image. My eye is kept as busy as those gulls, trying to find a point to rest on, there isn't one, but I don't think there has to be, you've engaged me and held me - well done :) I am wondering how this would look in black and white - have you given it a try?
