This shot was one of a series that I took of my friends on a sunny afternoon in the park. It was a LOT of fun doing this challenge, there were actually several shots I could have used but c'est la vie.
PP - Crop, sepia and yellow filters, border, agonise about shot choice for a couple of days, resize and sharpen.

I like it... fun photo. I've got a few issues (keep in mind I didn't vote):
1) the branch from the tree, looks like it's trying to pet his head or something.
2) DoF is a bit too deep, adding distractions in the background and a shallower DoF could have fixed the tree issue.
3) I'm sure the blown sky hurt you a bit. DPC loves either blue skies or skies with a lot of features. A relector or flash on the subject could have kept exposure correct on the subject while giving you a darker sky and darker background, making the subject more prominent.
4) I like the motion in the hand, but shutter spped increase could have made focus on the subject a tad sharper.
Anyway, I hope I haven't been overly critical, but DPC, as you know, is a picky crowd. If you want high scores, you have to cater to that finickiness. If you want to have fun, well, you kinda have to not worry about scores.
I like the color and contrast. It reminds me of prints in an old suitcase from the 70s. Subject seems a little contrived... I think I'd like the shot better exactly as you have it without the person.
