"Me, I'll take the laughter and her tears
And make them all my souvenirs
For where she goes I've got to be
The meaning of my life is
She"
On my HD there are a thousand motorcycle pictures, 800 car racing pictures, 200 studio shots, 2000 friends/party pictures, nature, architecture, events, you name it. Many of them technically better photographs than this but their contents are hollow.
I chose this photo for best of 2007, because getting to know Aygul was the best that happened in 2007. We did the Nikah, we will marry for the law in 2008 or 2009 and we wish to start a family together. She is the best of 2007 and the decades that come. I love you!
Many thanks to Anastasia, Ilya and Sveta for bringing us together, Gary for his support, Olga for her advice, the family Peskov for helping me to meet Aygul's family in Bashkortostan, Serdar for telling me what not to say :) and many others.

Aww Sander.. your words are as beautiful as Aygul.
What a beautiful ~view~ you have of 2007.. ;) Nicely done.. i'm swooning and it has nothing to do with me.. just beautiful to see love displayed.
certainly, in every sense of the word, your Personal Best!! Congraulations & best wishes for many children, and a long lifetime together, filled with Laughter, Love & JOY!!
Nice to see you have the same/similar values of what really is important and submitted what YOU wanted, rather than going for the score. There is a certain thing about what we leave behind as a statement of us, in the way of sharing photographs, moments, emotions & sentimental imaging should all our portfolios go poof and someone were to look at what is left - permanent challenges images as a signature. Best wishes to both of you in the years to come.
Forgot to add that this is a stunning image - the connection to the person behind the eyes is strong.
I thought this was yours and I agree that this is by far the best shot to represent your 2007. Many, many good thoughts and wishes to you and your lovely bride!
Very attractive subject, almost like a Kate Winslet. Eyes are beautifully processed and I love the tone on her right cheek. The lighting is a tad harsh on the left side of her face. Well Focused. Good Luck. 6.
Nice - great eyes!! She must love this portrait. I think perhaps you dont need all the hat, if you crop some off the top it puts her eyes in a more interesting place, not dead center. If you look at model shots, a surprising number have half the hair on top cropped out of the picture. I love all the textures here, her smooth white face, the knitted hat and the fine detail of her hair.
Her right eye looks rather odd, almost like a plasma ball. Not an entirely bad thing, but a bit distracting in this photo. Maybe it's just because that side of her is in shadow.
