Copyrighted-I lived in a motorhome for five years and had the privilige of visiting many beautiful photo sites. Valley of Fire State Park is located NE of Las Vegas off I-15. This park is my favorite. It has red eroded sandstone rock formations. This photo was taken just outside my motorhome door. The dark diagonals are cracks and the lighter ones are grass shadows. I suggest stopping at the visitors center before starting your fine adventure. A word of caution. The area is known to have killer bees, scorpions, rattlers and sidewinders so tread lightly. I wear snake gaiters.
