It is easy to grow daylilies, but hard to photograph them in an original way. I shot through textured glass and took four images on one frame of slide film. Hint: when making multiple exposures on one frame, turn the focusing ring very, very slightly each time or you will notice the distinct edge of each exposure. My goal was to create a soft, featherlike edge while retaiing the leaf texture. I did a series of these images using a tripod, shallow depth of field, natural light, Fuji Velvia 50 film and a 200mm Canon lens. Notice the texture on the distorted leaf and the very soft background with no detail.
