This is one of a series I took the same day I got my highest scoring shot for me on DPC. It was such a lucky day as there was a couple of these guys just hanging around the side of the barn at my friends farm. Not to much done here, dodging and burning increase contrast and some saturation. I keep going back but haven't seen them quite so close again. Anyway I had a few to pick from and I know this one is pretty close to my last shot. I will be putting the others in my portfolio and hope I didn't make a mistake in entering something so similar but what can I say I just like it. Besides if he was posing I was shooting!

absolutely fantastic photograph .. congratulations on such a great place in a challenge so full of incredible images .. its a stunning animal portrait .. :)
Nicely processed and good job ensuring that the white fur is not overly bleached like some of the other animal shots in this challenge. WIth animal shots, a lot of people get drawn to the eyes. Your focus appears to focused on the nose and mouth and would have really preferred the focus to be crisp on the eyes which are a little soft. Good Luck. 5.
