Think that this needs to be in colour. Good job on the horizon (i.e. not across the middle) and use of thirds with the rising sun. Good Luck. 5.

Hawaii. Love it there, I have a beautiful photo of Diamond Head. This is really interesting, the light coming from that one little area.

The image seems quite dark to me, though I do like the contrast of the sunlight shining up so brightly. For me, the image could have been cropped in a lot on the left side, and down from the top a bit to give it a bit more impact.
