I think you had the right idea with trying to frame it with the trees and fence, but the DOF seems shallow IMO

Sorry but this comes across far too much like a rushed snapshot. I am sure this building is fascinating, and there are other angles from which you could have taken your photo which would have made it more of a feature. As it is the eye is drawn to the mass of foliage in the foreground which is very distracting.

It looks out of focus to me, but in this case I think it helps give a fairy-tail/dream-like quality to the image.
