 The lines of my Scandinavian desk lamp have alway impressed me a simple, clean, and functional. I tried to capture this simplicity against a black (which came out purple) backdrop

Added thin border, cloned out two hot spots, applied neat image, resized.

I like the angles in this shot, and the background color is really subdued. (I guess that could be positive or negative, depending on what you are after -- I like it).
