wow...look at that texture on the water surface!
nice, clean composition, with good technicals.
assuming it fits the rules (no way to confirm it without seeing the original sequence) this is another solid 9

Beautiful image. Great use of movement across the frame and rule of thirds. 9

Seriously beautiful picture - all sharp and coloured and composed. I think you'll win.

Well composed with the eye being lead across the diagonal and with the rule of thirds being obeyed in pretty much every respect. The masking around the wings in places could be a little more accurate or at least a touch more feathered

Interesting painted effect in the water, and beautiful clarity in the bird. Lovely feather detail.

Pelican is great, but the water doesn't look natural with the opposing angles
01/07/2008 07:47:20 PMPost actions
scalvert: the physics of falling and landing. natural.
GeneralE: splashing is natural.
ursula: oceans are natural.
sher: naturally!

Very nice detail and a great catch. Back to bump you up to 9.

If the leftmost bird were a bit further back so it didn't appear to be dining on its own wing this would be a perfect landing.
