Wonderful shot, Carol! The blue sky is such a great contrast to the starkness of the frozen lake and the bare trees. Great detail in the foreground too. Keep up the great work! I haven't taken a picture all month...need to get back out there!
A very appealing image but like so many others in this challenge I am struggling to feel the silence. Peace and tranquility maybe in the heart of a city but this image does not speak to me of silence for the simple reason that cities are noisy places. Still it scores well for its composition.
This definately conveys "silence" :) The only thing I might change is not having the person so centered in the shot. I would have had him on the right hand side of the photo, since he is looking toward the left. Good work.
