 These guys give me the willies! Living in the Southwest Desert I've had my share of encounters. This is a Mojove Rattler -- one of the most agressive. Ran across this bad boy in the San Tan Mountains south of Phoenix last week. Mesmerizing. And potentially lethal. Nearly stepped on one a few months ago in New Mexico. But still, awesome to look at. This guy was fortunately more into posing and rattling than striking.
