I just wanted to let you know that this is one of the finest pictures I have seen here or anywhere. The shadows on the mountain, the clouds, the colors, the framing, everything is perfect. I'm jealous and if I ever find out who the two people are who gave it a "1" I'll request their voting priveleges be taken away.
Yours is a dreat picture. You have proven that patience and a good eye can capture a vision in only a few shots. I am glad to see that you were able to take a picture and not make one in the post processing. Keep up the good work! Autool
I am very honored with your comments and congratulations. The result was specially satisfying for me since that week I spent morning after morning dropping my kids at school, and staying in the parking lot chasing an elusive sun light that I was sure would have to hit that mountain sooner or later, but of course I had to have clouds in my morning sky, and those same clouds were covering my sunlight. Finally, the last day, there was a clearing between the clouds, a 30 seconds chance at it, and I was right there, waiting for it. I was noticed by everyone in school “the strange father who stays every morning with a tripod and a camera, looking at the distance…”
Thanks a lot to all those great photographers who gave this week to me, when so many of them were equally deserving.
Outstanding view of 'La Huasteca'. I live a few miles from these mountains and I am lucky to see them every day. Congratulations on the ribbon, well deserved!
MIL FELICIDADES ALDITO!!!!!!! (para tu info, soy Carla Garcia Cano), Ü

Aldo, congratulations on your first blue ribbon! You have very good work on DPC, and I'm sure you'll be submitting excellent pictures in the future. I'll be looking forward for them. This picture was worthwhile the several mornings you were patiently waiting for the right moment to capture. Congratulations!
Salut!
Visual impact is outstanding. Composition, and Technical aspects of the photo are excellent. In my opinion, yours is the first place photograph this week. 10
I love how you have captured the clouds - I can literally feel them scudding by over me. The yellow coloring on the mountain is quite striking, but I wish I could see the rest of the mountains, but they are a little too dark.
Initial=just gorgeous! very nice catch of light! Composition=This is a beautifully done landscape! Marvelous Clarity (focus, details)=all beautiful! Exposure=all beautiful! Interesting or Emotive=very emotive and interesting to look at! nice job!
I am using a this new detailed commenting method inspired by autool. (Thanks autool!). I hope you find it more helpful than my former comments. Thanks for submitting, and good luck! ;0) kpb

I was very interested in where this was so I found: //produce-growers.hypermart.net/HuastecaZone.html The terrain appears very rugged. Congrats on a wonderful photo.
Great shot, love the light on the mountain top. Which was was the wind blowing the clouds? I think it would have been a touch cooler, if the right side of the mountain top was in the sunlight, too. Very dramatic clouds! 10 Swash
Wow... I like this one quite a bit! Good dramatic sky, and I like the lit mountain on the left. My only nit would be to maybe include more of the lit mountain, and a little less of the sky and the silhouetted mountain on the left. --8-- sohr
Excellent photograph. It is a nice moment of light that you captured. Also, the wide angle and the big sky gives a sense of magnitude. Congratulations. I hope you win the challenge.
A wonderful view. I think I would have included more of the land and maybe not so much of the sky above the first band of dark cloud. You've taken a nice photo though.
