Here's one for the eagle lovers. This one was working on getting something out of the ice the entire time I was taking pictures. I couldn't get super close, becuase there was someone else taking pictures of him too. There was another person out, I will call them a weanie, because they were shooting from inside their mini van with what looked like the hubble telescope! I got out of the Jeep and stood in snow up to my knees! Oh well, I suppose if I had their lens, I might have thought about doing the same thing.
Then i'd call u a weanie staying in the vehicle..
Commendable getting out and capturing this fellow.. I love Eagles.

where are you that you see eagles that close? what size lens were you using?
Mississippi River, almost literally! This is at the Marina in Fort Madison. I need to take a nice telephoto lens with me next time and then I won't have to stand in the snow.
