It has gotten terrifically cold and we'll have a hard freeze tonight. The farmers have been picking crop today to prevent a lot of it from getting spoiled. Mom covered her plants and we have battened down the hatches - so to speak.
The photo has nothing to do with any of this - lol. Yesterday on my extended photo shoot, I specifically sought out Miss Hazel to show in this side challenge. It's an old fishing boat that has docked at the same place for eons. Very crusty and cool looking - in fact, I wish I had such a boat.
I was in luck and she was sitting in her little harbor. The colors have been very brilliant due to uncommon dryness.
Oh what a beautiful image. The vibrant colors and warmth! Gee I do hope the crops are doing okay....it's had to believe FL would get such harsh weather, but it happens every now and again. Nice capture of Hazel!
Good shot with this. The pelican is a perk. I believe that is a shrimp boat by the trolling doors on the afterdeck, and the general construction.
Bundle up for the freeze.
Miss Hazel. Very cool, love it. I wish there were a tad bit of sky above the "pole thingy". (yes, I'm from Kansas and don't know the official term, but am fairly certain I got it wrong!)
I wish I had that boat too! It's a neat looking boat. I almost missed the bird, which is also nice! I bet you're freezing is nothing like my freezing! :)
Glad to see you are enjoying the new camera! Nothing awakens the creative juices like a new photo toy. Great photo of Miss Hazel too, I can see why you sought her out. its cold here in Phoenix too.
