Nice POV and composition. This may have been even stronger in B/W. The image does seem to be underexposed somewhat. What's the histogram look like? A minor tweak in levels or curves would lighten it up quite easily. JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge.

The basic idea is good, but the execution could be sharper. The composition seems a bit askew to my eye, and there isn't enough ICE in the foreground to make this pop the way it could. Now an ice machine half-buried in ice/snow/sleet would be MUCH funnier.
