I wasn't going to submit anything to this challenge until I found this old pair of iceskates in my mother's garage. Unfortunately I only had about 3 minutes to get a decent shot. I know I could have gotten a lot more out of the subject with a little more time to experiment.

I like this. Has a great mood with the coloration of the skates, good use of negative space, and good composition. The 'sparks' or fire adds interest and curiosity. Nicely captured!
The suggesting of burning the ice while skating is not there, if that was intended. There is no leg in the shoe, the skate hanging on its laces really indicates a stationary position.
