i like very very few photographs that use flash - there's always something of the element of cop-out about it. here you've brought it thoroughly to the fore, privileged that slightly surreal look, and it's hugely atmospheric, and perfectly balanced: as though the world has backed off for a moment to allow you to take this shot.
