Shot on Mount Washington, overlooking the city just after sunset. I shot the same vantage point earlier in the week, but wasn't happy with a glare that was cast by the lights of PNC Park during a Pirates game. Wouldn't you know the Pirates played almost every night this week!? So I shot this one with just hours left to spare on Sunday night.

A couple "post-voting" comments... I shot this just after the sun went down. A few folks mentioned that they would have liked it had the sky been darker, but my past experience with this vantage point in particular is that the buildings get lost in a black sky. This was shot on a fairly hazy night (one of only a few favorable nights to shoot that week), so the contrast was tweaked a little higher than I had hoped. It's nice to give folks a glimpse of our city, and to show people that it's not quite as smoky and gritty as it used to be!
This is nice. I think it's a little over exposed for my taste. The sky is too bright for a night shot, and some of the brighter lights are overblown to the point of distraction. But the reflection on the river is very nice, and the colors are good. 7 - chrisab.
Initial=beautiful! Composition=Nice position to photograph this subject. Clarity (focus, details)=nice detail even to the near distance. Exposure=well done. nice choice of time of day to photo Interesting or Emotive=very intersting to look at. The curves of the shoreline add movement
I am using a this new detailed commenting method inspired by autool. (Thanks autool!). I hope you find it more helpful than my former comments. Thanks for submitting, and good luck! ;0) kpb
wonderful shot! the time of day choice is perffect and my eye is drawn to the split of the river as it should be i guess - youve maximized the visual value of this spot! nice! 8 sgtpepper6344
This is a very nice nighttime scene :) I believe that the exposure may have been a tad too long on this one however... I believe that a little bit darker sky would really improve this shot quite dramatically... good work :) = 8 - jmsetzler
