Love the shot. Great crop and lighting, and really interesting dynamic between a gentle looking portrait and the apparent tension in the leading hand. Just adds an extra 'something' to the portrait.

What a great way to start the challenge. Great self portrait -- the lighting is especially impressive. Your pose and expression are really interesting, too - a bit of the tortured artist vibe!
