A visit to "Steve Irwins" Australia Zoo, with our son Ryan, his wife Lauren and grandson Judd, as well as our god daughter Katie, allowed me to get this amazing photo of one of the tigers, up close and personal.
This was taken just after the tiger was given some milk to drink.
It was also quite a long way away and taken through very thick glass.
Enjoy.....
Partly processed origional before a very tight crop. I really think my new lens had a lot to do with the result of this image. I just LOVE my new lens....
I love the thick crop of whiskers and wonderful pink tongue. From below the nose it could be almost any cat drinking, then above the nose you have these wonderful bold markings and ferocious stare.
excellent Shez!! congrats on a very nice finish in a FS packed with talent! I love the capture-might make a great ad for the Dairy association's got milk??campaign here in the states...
Whiskers. I can see the keeper's shirt sleeve top left. The image is blurry. Perhaps a more refined crop and pp of some kind (toning/softening/etc) may have rescued this shot, if it was your best one from this 'shoot'. Also appears to be some resizing issues in the whiskers on the right especially (jaggedness).
