The Danube (die Donau) as it passes through Dillingen, Germany (my "Perspectives V" shot was from near here, but on a dam crossing the river and on a different day when the light wasn't as pretty as this).
A bit of work on this in Lightroom (exposure, etc., plus a bit of healing of sensor dust) and then into PSCS3:
- neat image
- saturation
- resize
- border
- save for web

Thanks for all the votes and comments, everyone, they are very much appreciated. Wonderful showing, and on a Free Study, to boot. Talk about being in the right place at the right time; I was walking to the dam where I took my perspectives V shot, and almost didn't stop to get this. But the light was beautiful, and I had to try to capture it. Glad so many of you liked it!

CONGRATULATIONS CONGRATULATIONS ... must have been a very nice, slightly belated, christmas present ... :):)
See, told you it was a top ten photo!! Who would of guessed we finished nextto each other! Nice one, well deserved. adding to favs.
EDIT - I know that everyopne is entitled to an opinion, but really I would love to find out if the three 2's given were given by trolls or because someone genuinely thought it deserved that score.
Woohoo! Amazing. Congratulation on the incredible score, PB, and top 10 star. Terrific accomplishment for a Free Study. This image certainly deserved every bit of that. The colors, DOF, focus, and composition are all outstanding.
Woo AND hoo!!! Helluva job - 7th6th 5th in a FS!! That's freakin' awesome (and keeps getting awesomer). Gorgeous light perfectly framed by your composition. The detail and richness is breathtaking.
Well seen. Love the composition. The saturation is a little much for me though. I tried a tweak in PS, and preferred it after a hue/sat adjustment of -31 saturation, 14 hue, FWIW
