There is a nice, peaceful feel to this, but the trash can is a real distraction to me. My eyes keep going to it instead deep into the photo.

the geometrical shapes in the shot are so intriguing, yet the trashcan does a good job breaking up the monotny. like the color and focal point.

I really like this in black and white. Some people might say take out the garbage can, but I think it actually adds to the lonely, silent look of the dock. The single light also helps convey that feeling. Nice job.
