This is the cupola of the Victoria Palace theatre in London, England, which happens to be currently featuring the popular Billy Elliot, the Musical. The gilt statue atop the cupola has an interesting history. The original gilt statue was a likeness of dancer Anna Pavlova. During WW2, the statue was taken down and put away, lest it be damaged by bombs. Once the war was over, the statue could not be found. The one in this image is a replica of the original and was installed very recently.
