Started cooking a curry and realised that my coconut looks very much like a brain. Dug out a 1908 encyclopedia to make a background, put the half-cracked nut on the fold of the page and lit with my trusty lamp, correcting wb for tungsten. Took a while to get a good angle. Not sure I got it right with selective saturation.

I am happy my brain looks like a coconut. Much better than the fried egg brain, on drugs, look. I didn't get it at first but thanks to your title and a little more study and viola! I got it! Great use of DOF.
