Nice detail and rich color in the bloom, and a very good diagonal composition. For a flower shot to do well here, it has to be unique in some way, I think. This is a good flower shot, but not particularly unique. There are some artifacts of something in the background that do draw the eye a bit, but I'll disagree with one commenter about the green in the lower right - I think that provides a nice "support" to the bloom and some good contrasting color. In the DPC world, there's a tendency to oversimplify, to have a subject floating somewhat displaced on a pure back blackground that to me artificializes the subject.
NIce composition. You might experiment with different types of light on this instead of using your flash. You may get some different and perhaps better results.
