I had something else lined up for my free study this month but on the 29th we held our Annual Awards Ceremony at the Riverside Plaza in London. As I arrived at the venue I was looking at Big Ben and thought I would have a go at capturing it (photographically rather than in a net). I had my mini tripod with me which I set up on a wall then took the shot on a 10 second delay. I dont think this will do particularly well given the quality of image that we see in the FS but I was really pleased as this is the first half decent night time shot that I have taken

Well, i did not think this was a sub-5 image - I gave it a 6. I liked the colors you captured and that the tower really jumps out of the picture. I agree about the red light at the right, but I do not think there is much you can do about it other than considering a bigger crop off the right.
I really liked the angle you captured here. I'm used to seeing the far off images of Big Ben. Nice use of the negative space as well, keeps the focus right on your subject.
