Now this is good work indeed - and I'm pretty certain will be going straight into my faves after the challenge. Huge and immediate impact. Fabulous detailing, light, contrast (both technically and of tone), blance of composition, and that edge of fascination about whatever the hell is in the background. edgy stuff, and perfectly mundane - exactly what the challenge was after. if there were justice, this will win (and I haven't even seen all the shots yet) ... but I wonder if the masses will find your colouration a touch too odd?
Great composition, good subject and title. Tiny thing, the upper hole has got some halos inside of it, probably jpg distortion rather than over sharpening. Good colors as well, nice.
Beautiful and I like the way you've included two vertical gaps - makes for good composition plus gives us a little more of the background than the two holes. Very interesting and great colours and textures.
