One of my lousiest attempts at the seven sister's star cluster (aka the Plieades star cluster). This is a 300 second exposure with lots of condensation on the optics making the blue stars blobby. Noise reduction on, canon 350xt, Tak e-160 telescope. Camera and scope guided with a Losmandy G-11 mount. 300 second exposure, ISO800, f3.3.

We used to take a three day road trip to mexico every year or every other year when I was growing up. And we would always stop at rest areas or something of the sort in the night. And I would look up and this is almost always the first set of stars I would look for :)
Perhaps I'm not sophisticated enough to truly appreciate astrophotography; however, I like how you've used or created vignetting to make the subject cluster pop.
Interesting, I can't make out the constellation though. Is this in the ORION BELT area? Could be Plaiedees or Lyra perhaps? What a marvelous telescope you must have. 9
