Well, after two weeks w/out my camera (I broke the shutter during the popcorn challenge), I was looking forward to entering a challenge. I knew I wanted to use a flower for the shoot, mainly because I wanted to see if I could get a good shot of one. I used two lights, a bright one from under, and a less bright one from the top, getting that slight glow feel. Photoshop was standard levels, curves, resize, usm, then my wife wanted me to add a border, so I did. Just a simple black one seemed to work the best. So thats it, heres the shot.

Lovely strong contrasting colours. Well composed. Not much detail on the stamen, if thats the right word, and this is where your focus is and so the image as a whole looks a little out of focus. If there had been a bit of mist on them to bring out a bit of sparkle and detail then that would have given the whole image a real boost.
