This is a photo of an armchair taken outside under the constellation of Orion. The shot was exposed for 16 seconds and a handtorch used to highlight the chair. Post photo editing involved a slight blur and brightening applied to the chair. Some reflected stars on frost on the ground were also cloned out.

Thanks for all the helpful comments - what makes DPC so worthwhile. I've never taken a shot like this and would never have contemplated doing so were it not for DPC. I'll now work on this idea and improve it!
Somehow I could see this as a book cover. A really nice shot that has a simple originality to it. The only thing bothering me in this is the grass at the bottom, I would have liked everything very dark except for the stars and the chair. But even that is knitpicking! Score: 9 Great job! Good luck!
like that I can make out Orion's belt - would have liked to see more stars. Dramatic composition and good use of negative space. Chair seems a bit fuzzy?
