This photo was taken during the town Veteran's Day ceremony along with about thirty others. The original included another photographer (town paper I assume) but I cropped him out along with the top portion of the memorial statue. I thought the blurred flag along with the placing of the wreath would make a good submission for this challenge.

the focus seems a little off here. this photo could do with a bit more sharpening to bring out the lettering in the monument. would also be a much better shot if you could see the man entirely.
Flag in the foreground does add impact. I would crop much tighter on the top and bottom to eliminate extraneous background, and maybe try for a sharper focus on the wreath.
