Taken at a sweet park near where I live. I was out with some friends and hadn't taken many photos recently...I took a ton that evening and it felt good to get back into it. I have been working on trying to do different things with backlighting with the sun. Finding a manual balance between the sun in the background and keeping the subject exposed. It gives a real neat look to it. Very warm. The sun was perfect that afternoon but leaving quick. I wasn't planning on using any of the photos I took for the challenges, but this one seemed like it would look ok in duotone. Although the color version is much more rich. I'll post that later.
Most PP was done in lightroom.
heavy contrast
upped the exposure a bit
made WB warmer
the in Photoshop
two layers of BW adjustment
one just plain BW
the other above it with a tone blended with softlight and then turned the opacity down.

Nice picture. I wish you'd trimmed off just a little off the top, to eliminate the white area there. I think the image would look more put together without that. I also wish there were a bit more detail in the bottom of body area. Otherwise, quite beautiful. I like the out of focus background, it looks great here.
