I had a picture I liked even better, but the bokeh stubbornly refused to look like it was in the foreground, even though much of it was. Just can't use the long lens for this type of shot, though it's perfect for background bokeh.
So, it rained this morning, and I have this one confused iris blooming despite it being November, and then the sun came out for about 5 minutes so I ran outside with the camera! Needed a rather short focal length so the rain drops would make pretty circles when the focus was just behind them on the flower. Took several shots but liked the lines in this one and *think* the bokeh is sufficiently obvious. And doesn't detract from the image, since it echoes the focussed raindrops. I don't generally like foreground bokeh so this was a tough one for me!
Not my most creative idea but should manage an average score.
PP - converted from RAW, cropped, levels, increased contrast, added border, resized, sharpened with noise reduction.

Mary, I am absolutely THRILLED to see you on the first page with this stunning photo!!! Congratulations on your first (but not your last) ribbon!!! Well done!
Nice image. Difficult, but like to have seen the bokeh a little stronger - think you did well to capture 'both types' of bokeh though - I know how difficult this is. Colors are nice. Perhaps a tighter crop at the bottom may have enhanced the fore bokeh and made it a stronger image for this challenge, not sure.
