Don't really think this fits the challenge, the reference to the hat is not good enough
A closer shot on the hat would have produced a much better picture for texture..

This looks overexposed in the highlights, which drew my attention there rather than to the other interesting parts of this shot.

What? Don't understand. Help. Very small pic. Contrast is quite extreme, and loses a lot of the surface qualities that might bring this into the challenge. Can't see the point ...

I don't care for the lighting in this shot. The overexposed areas on her face are distracting. I would have liked this shot with more emphasis on the textures of the sweater/scarf and the hat. Maybe it was better in color?

"Texture" seems to be a secondary subject in this photo, and the texture aspect of the photo isn't very well in focus.
