I like what you've captured here. It's close enough to the glove to give me the worn feel. Minor points to make this solid shot better: I'd like to see the whole glove in sharp focus (especially since the flat leather stuff lower left is sharp and it's not your main subject) and I'd like to be able to pull the left most finger from the background just a enough to see where it ends.
A beautiful rendition of the challenge. I'm glad you included several shapes and textures of leather in the composition It definately adds to the overall interest.
I recall the thumbnail - thought it was skin (well, I suppose it is, but...) Captures the texture well, though I'm not convinced about the interest of the image as a whole.
