It does look like a tranquil place, and very private. Softness works with the mood of the picture. Image seems tilted; I think that's an optical illusion due to the wide angle (top of the wall is not parallel to the water as my eye travels to the right).
Interesting border. Seems to me though like it could have done with a slight ccw rotation to square up the very dominant horizontal lines. Nice effect on the sky coming in through the trees
