This is an image I did last weekend. I did hundreds and got 3 quite decent ones. This is one of them.
It's tapwater coloured blueish with food colouring which I dripped milk into.
The white is this milk crown or "umbrella" shape disappearing into the water.
I hope you like it.
Hi Irene!
Me and my wife are absolutely amazed by your macrophotography, u simply rock, you are the queen of macro here at DCP!
I am just wandering, which lens would you recommend us to buy, I'm between Nikon macro 60 mm (the new one) and Tamron 90 mm, our camera is Nikon D90. I see that you've been using both of these lenses in your work, so I don't know if you have some preferance or any advice at all. We are planning to shoot mostly flowers and similar objects that you have been taking, not small crawling animals.
Keep shooting shots like this, we love it!
Regards, Goran
I LOVE this pic!!! I am going to try some of these tonight... i don't have a 90/105/150mm macro lens... just a 55mm, some extension tubes, and a bellowes... hopefully that will do... worst case, i'll have to do some cropping and maybe wipe some milk off of my lens =)
I love it! Don't know how many hours I've spent dripping water into glasses, into bowls ..... into everything and ended up with a huge mess in the kitchen, water on the floor and not a single useful shot! I'm inspired by your work....... thank you!!!
I like this one, you can follow all the little tips of the drops that have fallen before you get to the last little bits that are sharp and in front. I wish I had the patience for this type of work.
