This certainly meets the “texture” part of the challenge, but, it could use a single point of interest to make good use of that interesting texture as background.
Really good job placing the rope, it's nice and precise. Blur your eyes, see the two complete hilights on each one? I would have framed the picture about 5% lower, to center those hilights. I like it!
Nice closeup of the rope. You can see the individual weave of the each strand. The highlights helps to give a sense of the smoothness of the strands themselves. Would like to see a bit more shadow to really make it pop. Maybe try lighting from a more extreme angle.
Great exposure. I love the color of the yellow. It might have been interesting to add something of a contrasting color and/or texture in the picture as a focal point.
Sparkling effect of direct light (flash?) is quite pretty, and gives a sense of shininess, but I think the addition of some kind of side-light would add a sense of depth and therefore a more convincing sense of texture. Good rhythmic composition, no distractions.
Nice texture. I like how the light reflects off the rope in some places. That makes it interesting to me. Had it all be uniform and all the same color, I don't think this would hold as much interest for me. looks like waves. Very cool photo. Colors are great ...texture, also very nice. The bright spots are a bit disturbing...but a nice photo that meets the challenge very well.
