This certainly meets the “texture” part of the challenge, but, it could use a single point of interest to make good use of that interesting texture as background.
Good work, really has caught the graininess of the frost flowers. Nice gentle even light, though poerhaps you might have poushed the contrast a touch further without compromising anything. Some sense of more general shapes to keep the eyye happy with the composition, but that's where it falls down for me - don't feel it would hold my attention for very long.
A difficult subject. Apart from it being grey not pure white IMHO it needs a certain something to give "punch" it may be the lighting or the DOF that just lets it down that little bit. Not sure!
Good texture; you might consider cropping the bottom 1/2 inch to eliminate the lower left area which seems a little yellow, as well as having a bit too much of a tunnel perspective.
