This looks overexposed in the highlights, which drew my attention there rather than to the other interesting parts of this shot.

You seem out fo control of the lighting, and the placing of the subject is poor - is that a shoe in the background? Don't find the graphical structure of this very intersting at all, seems rather confused as to where the lines want ot be in the image.

good picture and detail maybe lighting it a different way without some of the shadow and darkness in the left would make my vote higher.

Lighting is really harsh. Don't see the dog hair? Leather is a good idea for texture, but I don't think it's presented strongly here.
