Went for a fall drive with the wife to hike at a state park and saw this on the way and I had to stop. It was pratically calling my name to photograph it, as if it has a story to tell. Realized when I got home that there is a challenge for something old and it fits perfectly. I have many shots of this and since a majority are in IR I have different false color versions of this but decided to stick with version the camera pretty much gave me. Taken with a 350D converted for IR. I tweaked a bit but not much. Hope this does well but my last IR shot suffered an average score.

Thanks for the all the comments and votes! My highest placing thus far. I really debated about which of the three to enter and choose this b/c I liked how the bownish sky added to the old feel. Here are the two outtakes
Thanks again!

Very nice IR photo. The infrared really fits here. Too many times it seems that people use IR as a gimmick. This really helps set the mood for this old place. I agree with your choice. Of the three, the brownish sky fit the best.
Not generally a fan of IR but it mostly works here, except it makes the trees look very flowery and Spring-like. Guess that's OK 'cuz it contrasts with the clear ancientness of the house, but ... the trees are overpoweringly bright in places. Still, a nice shot overall for this challenge.
